what is the deal with cdrom derivers. Can you just uses any dos cdrom drivers irregardless of the manufacturers.

Pantion 12-13-1999, 06:47 PM There is a universal driver at: www.windrivers.com (http://www.windrivers.com) But there are real-mode MS-DOS drivers for each CD-ROM made by the manufacturer. You should use the one supplied by the manufacturer, since they are supposed to give the better performace and features the driver can offer rather than using a generic one. SysOpt.com
