Recently our Netgear DG834G v2 wireless router has stopped putting out a signal , the light on the side of it showing if it is giving out a signal goes out and only the computer it is connected to which is the main one can access the internet, although just before this started happening even the main computer couldn't access the internet for some reason. If I unplug the power cable for the router, leave it for a while and then plug it back in it works again but only for limited time. Thanks for any suggestions...

Have you flash updated the router to the latest version yet?

No but would I need to? It's not old and nothing has been changed on any of the computers. I'm no expert on routers or anything either so I didn't even know such a thing existed.

It sounds to me like the router is getting ready to die.
Either that or it' s power pack is giving out on you.
Did you look at the Router Logs ? ?
It is possible the problem is not in the router itself, but
a line problem on the DSL or Cable Internet that feeds it

It doesn't look like it's a power fault or anything the actual thing stays on just it stops doing the wireless thing but i may be wrong, as i said i'm no expert. I haven't looked at the router logs but I will do and if i don't see anything wrong I suppose i will have to look to the DSL or Cable Internet.

I would check the help files and try a flash update. This will reset the router to factory defaults and you can set up all of the parameters again.
