I have SBC Yahoo DSL and when I try to put an item on ebay I can get to step 3, but upon completing step 3, I see in the browser window (where it usually says "done" when the page loads) there's a yellow triangle sign with an exclamation point, and when I click continue instead of saving my changes and going to the next step it goes to ebays homepage and therefore leaving my auction incomplete. I can do it fine on my Mom's PC so what's wrong with mine? I've never seen anything of the sort on my PC before, only ebay so far.

Are you using the same type of Browser on both machines ? ?
Which one ? ?
Is your pc browser perhaps set to a Higher Secure Site level
or maybe Java needs to be Enabled ? ?
Did you check your Firewall or Internet Security Program
logs for Errors ? ? Maybe one of them needs to allow
something it is Blocking that it should not be.

Yes same browser on both PC's. Both PC's are set to about the same except I have the Java Sun runtime environment on mine, but not on my moms and I think it's a java applet error of some kind, but java IS enabled on my computer so I don't get it.

Uninstall Java and try again. Don't forget to reboot.
I refuse to install Java. I rue the day when those jerks at Sun convinced the courts to jam Java down our thoats. Microsoft did it better.

Microsoft did it better.
That is why I saved the installer for the Microsoft Version a long time ago

K Thanks I'll try reinstalling it, or maybe I'll just leave it off. I don't think I use it for anything.

Tough to get buy without Java entirely, these days. Better to use a browser that lets you easily enable/disable it.

If it's Java, you can still get the old MS version:

I clicked the little sign/exclamation icon and it's showing me just a script error, so I guess it has nothing to do with Java, andsince I uninstalled it should further support that conclusion. Now what IS causing this script error which says:
Error: Object expected
Line: 4
URL:http://cgi5.ebay.com(etc etc etc blah blah blah the rest of the page link)

NVM I fixed it. You were right bruceb, silly me missed a setting. My browser security settings were restricting some cookies. I put it on low and now it works. Thanks.
