I have three joysticks a gravis gamepad, two gravis gamepad pros, one usb, one regular gamepad. Ever since I upgrade to a FIC PA-2013 VIA motherboard I've had problems with my gamepads. If I have both gamepad pros connected at startup I go into the control panel, game controllers and it has both of them listed as "OK". When I click on the first one(the regular connector) the buttons are being randomly being set off while i'm not touching the gamepad and it ignores me when i do hit the buttons. Sometimes before i go into the properties of it the joystick appears to be selecting it for me and i have to disconnect this joystick to be able to look at the other gamepads properties. When i click on the USB's properties it doesn't do anything while i'm hitting the gamepad. I have gotten a new sound card and also moved pci slots and have the updated drivers to everything. I can only get the USB gamepad to work be disabling the second gamepad lists in the control pad, system. which i have to do every time i boot up.
i'd appreciate any help you can give me.
thanks,
bill larkin

Try flashing your BIOS (seems like VIA chipsets are way too much of a headache here)

here you can download the BIOS file and utilities you need:

Well, I run a DFI motherboard with a VIA MVP chipset. Award bios. Yeah, I guess it is a pain, but you only have to do it once.

So, what the heck, do it, get it over with, and badda boom, badda bing!

You're good to go.

Good Luck In All

Yeap reinstall the software, since the gamepads can be all mixed up, or check the "Game Controllers" on Control Panel and make sure they are all there.

Try both for better results http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif

i flashed my motherboard, so now my usb gamepad pro works fine, but now it won't detect the regualar connecting one. I just thought to reinstall gravis's software maybe it got messed up with flash or else i'm stuck. Any other idea's???
