Are there any programs out there that will let me share my modem to fax from another pc?
Thanks for advice

You might be able to share the fax device (modem) over a local network but I'm not sure about that - maybe someone else has done it.

Yes
there is ashareware program call wingate
which is free for use on a single PC connected to another PC via network. It works great I use it all the time at home to access the internet fom my networked PC that does not have modem on it. Just do a search for wingate and you'll find it on the web. If not post me a reply and I will send it to you.

So wingate lets you use the modem to fax!?

I didn't think so. It is for FAXING. Not the internet. I have those bases covered.

Just read this thread and it rung a bell over my Brother Multi function Centre Fax so had A look in box, in the fax box I found a cable for connecting the fax to a PC seems to either a 25 pin or 9 pin connector plus about 3 disc's for letting the PC access the fax machine, try finding a Brother agent in your area and have a word with him, Now I have to find the manual looks like this box may be handy.

Thanks WW I have thought of this. Getting a multifunction printer... That faxes as well. And just sharing that. But I already have a modem in my pc I thought that I could do it. I guess not
