We just got a wireless Isp in where I live. http://www.tazwire.net/Index.htm
The main access will be in my office. I also have an outside shed where my studio is. It will be less than 100 feet from the house. I may or may not need a repeater. I want to put my 2 studio computers on the net. The Audio computer will be the first. I also have a dedicated computer for weather data that is uploaded to noaa. The weather computer has a nic card already. Im assumming if I hardwire the weather computer with cat5 with a linksys 8 port switch to my Audio computer that I will be able to upload my weather data as well as surf with each computer.
Is this equipment all I need and is it acceptable.
D-Link / AirPlus Xtreme / DI-624 / 108Mbps / 802.11g / 4-Port / Cable/DSL / Wireless Router
D-Link / DWL-G520 / 108Mbps / 802.11g / PCI / Wireless Adapter

Or will I need something else to interface their equipment. Im less than 2 miles from the access tower so I dont anticipate any problems.
Thanks Guys!!

You will need a main wireless router connected to their equipment. Then another router/repeater to connect the shed to their router. I wouldn't see the need for a switch since most wireless routers have 4 ports already.

The 100 feet distance may be a problem. You won't know until you try it. You may then need a booster antenna.

Would I need another router in the shed if I put one of these on each computer?

Im not familiar with this hardware but I assume its just a Nic card with an attenna.
I already have the 8 port switch here, but if these wireless adapters work I dont think I need another router or switch would I?

Thanks Sterling! :t

Those are wireless nics , and will be used to connect to the wireless router you use , like the DI-624 . I have a DWL-520 and its antenna is not that great , so you may need a "range extender" , not a router . http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16833127058
