I used to have 2 email accounts inside my outlook2002 and it works fine.

Yesterday I added in 4 more email accounts and started to have this error : 0x800CCC0F

So I do some testing myself and here are the result:

If I click send/receive (which is all 6 accounts) I will get the error.

If I remove 2 accounts and only have 4 email accounts, I will not error any error with the send/receive all function, the problem seems to come as long as I have 5 email accounts and above.

If I click one by one account under send/receive, I will not get any error with all 6 email accounts. (which means the account setting is correct).

Please advice.

Thanks.

On your mail account settings in Outlook

Tools, Email Accounts, View or Change,
Next, Change, More Settings, Advanced
try setting Server Timeouts to a Longer
Interval

Ensure that your smtp for the default account is the same for all other account too.

"G" is probably on the right track. What you have to realize is that if yu have one,two three or more email accounts.. all of them interact. This means that close attention should be made in each email account settings. If one or more have ,for an instance, some other default as 'G' states.., then error messages or other connectivity problems would indeed exist. ;)

Btw, I tried the MTU to 1500 but it still the same error.....

The funny thing is, if I setup all 6 accounts with a machine that has outlook 2003... it is working fine...no error.

There is something I found out after running inbetween 2 machines....

I realised that outlook 2002 has 6 tasks running when I click send/receive

example... mamister - sending and receiving in a task

But outlook 2003 has 12 tasks running when I click send/receive

example... mamister - sending in a task
- receiving in a task

Could this be the reason outlook 2003 can run without error?

Whenever my outlook acts funny I just restart my DSL and re-log in and everything works fine. If you have DSL perhaps you can reboot the modem?

Do you have Norton or some other AV that scans incoming/outgoing emails?
If you do, try disabling this and see if that works.

Have you tested each account settings separately?

Tools>E-Mail Accounts…>View or change existing e-mail accounts> (Select an account) Change…>Test Account Settings…

Yes, it may be that the AV program you may be using, if you are using one, is the cause for the problem. I think I read somewhere about a particular AV program not being about to scan accounts over a certain number without problems ensuring.

It that expert enough for you ;) :)

Ok.

Here is the results:

1. Restart router - didn't work
2. Remove AV - didn't work
3. Test account, as I said it works fine if I click the account one by one but not more than 4 together...

Please advice.

Sorry, none of the above works....

Strange thing is that all six accounts works fine with outlook express and not outlook 2002....

Your using 2002?? for petes sake. The current is a new and rewritten program... dah...!!!!!!!! of ocurse it might have problems... In that regard.. unless your a programmer or can alter the previous to reflect the current, then this is all a huge waste of time.... sorry but???
