Well without knowing the make and model of your motherboard I will give you a generic answer.
Visit the manufactures website and download the bios update if one is avaliable. From the manufactures website you will also be able to print out instructions on how to preform the bios update. If you have any questions after that make sure you ask questions. http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif

For a general idea on how to flash the BIOS read this:

But be sure to take note on what Mntsnow wrote or you can destroy your BIOS entirelly.

I know it's off-topic, but how many of us thought this was about Windows 2000?

Award/ Pheonix has a free fix on their website. Unfortunately AMIBIOS does not. They sell their fix or you can buy Norton 2000 which is supposed to be the best third party fix.
Good luck-Dave

I think I have a big problem because when I try to identify my motherboard, the BIOS string number would be

51-0102-zz5123-00111111-101094-AMIS123-P
This indicates a motherboard with BIOS from 1991 to Present. The BIOS identification number for this BIOS identification string, which is in BOLD and in the third set of numbers, would be zz5123.

but I have two 486DX ISA BIOS with the string number :

05-X200-000000-00111111-070593-ELP-A for the first one and
06-X200-000000-00111111-070593-C0047-A for the secon one.

I can't identify the manufacturer with 000000?

Thnaks a lot!
