Posted this question before, but couldn't get an answer:Is "Ball Grid Array" better than the best 133mz SDRAM? KTI makes this stick and pricewatch.com has it for $159 for a 128mb stick.

The actual performance of the memory is not changed a lot just by the shape/connector of the chip. The same ratings apply so if it is advertised as PC-133 it is, even if BGA. That said, BGA is a recent technology to come to the memory market, so it would make some sense that this stuff is pretty good. Memory makers don't retool for a whole new chip type to make the cheap stuff. SysOpt.com
