I have my sites set on the 7600GT for the same reasons as alot who got it.. and even at NewEgg.com where I more than likely would get it.. They do not list one ..even in search...
Do they make a GTX model for this card..? I know they make one for the 7800 models... i suppose if they do it would be an OC'ed card... THKS! ;)

No. Only flagship nvidia cards get the "GTX" designation. the 7600 series has always meant to be a mid-range video card, so therefore, it does not have a GTX designation. Only GT :t

Good info and specific.. thanks! Another thing i learned today
I keepgoing back and rechecking on THIS card because i have read like many many reviews of differnt sorts.. and more..like most of the mainstream are having no problems ... seems it might depend uponones mobo and or sytem memory one uses more than something wrong with the card.
What caught my eye is: 12 pixel pipelines, which I want.., Its a Nvidia card..which i want... clock bus speeds are very high..which I want..,, DDR3 memory, 256bit interface, and alot of poeple even have no porblems OC'ing it. Also it has to have shader model 2.0..whichis better than what i have now..and is current trend.
Some real good ATI cards.. but i am still quesy as when i read about peoplewho have like say the older X850XT... alot of problems with those who have it..so i steer clear...
My opinion... nvidia just has a better handle and info on its drivers. they are getting better if not great, with little or no problems for most. They also have alot of variations and betas if some driver is not working for that card somehow.
My current set of drivers.. the 91.31's are working flawless.. i am impressed.
i will most likely when i finally get around ot it.., get another EGVA maker. They have the best deal now.. and for $160.00 minus a $20.00 rebate.. how can you beat that for this card ..,speed or?? Yes.. it is a PCIE card by 16. ;)
