A paragraph and a link to a forum is all I see :p BadDriver 08-12-2006, 09:47 PM Chris, a forum can be a genuine PITA. I mean it can be fun, but then again it can totally suck. I had a fairly successful forum and one day I just freaked and shut her down. Websites? I run a few. Less demanding once it is built unless you update it constantly. What I built was a military site, no need to update it. The other site I manage is my sister-in-law's site. That sob needs updated weekly, she is a realtor and a house may not be available this week that was available last week. Also, the seller is always dropping the price. If you have a site like that, get to be good friends with cuteftp and frontpage. What started out as a weekend thing now has become a Wednesday night thing. I have to go and plant a SOLD in red letters across the listing. $100 a month but not worth it to me anymore. I think my sister is going to take it, she runs 11 other commercial sites so it may be worth her time. Now all we have to do is "move" the site. I will be glad to be rid of it. jadams 08-13-2006, 02:00 AM #1 - Remove the phpBB logo. Instructions on their Site ;) #2 - Be careful you don't waste your time with a forum that is going to go nowhere. *Example* Look at my setup www.businessitsolutions.org I have created just a general blah blah forum to make use of my server. Plus my IRC website is on there with a little test used pc hardware shop. I have had mine up for 2 months with 20 members so far. Not enough in my opinion, but please listen to my warning and make sure not to waste your time. Warm Regards :) chriswhitelaw 08-24-2006, 02:03 PM that's okay this guy who I thought was my friend , him and some other people turned on me and banned me from a website that's illegal and could get them into trouble if there not careful. Strawbs 08-24-2006, 05:18 PM I'm not promoting anything it is a warning to stay away from the site because it supports piracy.but surely your placing the link in your sig gives ppl the opportunity to visit the site! think "reverse phycology" here. ;) wouldn't it be better not to mention the site at all? mireland 08-24-2006, 06:16 PM could just send JM over there and break their server... SysOpt.com
