some times if sandra cannot get the info it needs from the system it takes what it can and figure #'s it's self like it tels me my powersuppy temp but I have a AT supply with out any thermal probe in it ?
thers a few other things it says that are not right also if you know your board is set right it's the program http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif

I think Sandra is referring to your L2 cache speed. I had the same report and found that
my memory speed was jumpered to 66mhz, although my FSB was 100mhz. Looked
around and discovered the jumpers to set L2 functionality. Also got a nice speed
increase. Hope this helps.

I am not big on AMD (yet) but, doesnt a K6-300 want a default setting of 66.6 MHz (FSB) and multiplier at 4.5 = 300MHz ??
... if FSB is set to 100MHz you would have a 450MHz ...???
I had Sandi reveal a tyan board which was lying about CPU speed(450MHz) during POST. This was discovered during CPU benchmark comparisons. It was actually running at its default FSB (66.6MHz)instead of 100MHz as i set in BIOS. This tyan board has a "softmenu" for setting FSB but it never worked except for the reported speed at POST ( gee thanks tyan http://www.sysopt.com/forum/wink.gif ). The only way i got that sucker to 100MHz FSB was to get out the good ole tape!!
How does your CPU benchmark test compare to the speed you think you should be running? Moral is.. if sandi say something is funny, i would dig deeper into it before totally discounting its results..
Water muddy enough now?

Ahhh...the AMD K6 300 needs 66 Mhz, and the AMD K6-2 300 takes 100.

ohh i see. Thanks Susan. here is a link for others as corn-fused as me. http://www.amd.com/products/cpg/tipsarchive.html It appears on this chart that the K6-2 300 came in both flavors (66/100 MHz FSB)..hmm
