Can someone tell me the most recent version of Dreamweaver that runs under Windows ME? According to Adobe customer service, the original MX (Version 6) was the last that listed Win ME in system requirements. However, the system requirements for Dreamweaver MX 2004 (Version 7) lists Windows 98SE, but not ME. The rep said he would "guess" that MX 2004 will run under Win ME. I don't think I've never seen a program that claimed to be compatible with 98 but not ME. However, without the ability to download a trial version, I wouldn't want to take that chance.

Can anyone confirm one way or another?

David

well I can tell you this much... I ran my MX2004 in the Win98/ME compatibility mode (which is not exactly the same thing, but close) and it ran... BUT all of the file-system icons were screwed up.

As far as functionality, I did run some basic tests, like clicking buttons and such, and everything else seems to work.

What do you mean by Win98/ME compatiblity mode? Is the a setting for MX2004, or is are you using a MAC and running some sort of MS Windows shell?

Sorry for not replying earlier...

Windows 98 Compatibility mode is found by right clicking on any icon, choosing 'Properties', and clicking on the 'Compatibility' tab...

Then you have to choose 'Run this program in compatibility mode for:' and choose Windows 98.

Of course this is not really running it in Windows 98, but more like not letting the program access any of the fancy Windows XP features... like shading, pixel-smoothing, advanced API functions, etc.
