Hi there!

Well, here's the thing, Human Resources department got a trustfund document in excel format, it's a normal spreadsheet with 4 buttons in it.

Human Resources get a new copy of this document from the Bank every month, so they fill the document up with the employes data and they send it back to the bank.

The document has 4 embeded buttons:

1 button that when pressed shows info from the bank and some phone lists
1 button is supposed to generate a .txt file an export it to a diskette

1 button is supposed to print the spreadsheet in a special format so it can be sent to the bank

1 button is supposed to let you add or delete a line of data

The button that shows the info about the bank and the phone list works allright, the other 3 buttons when pressed show an error.

This is the first time that this happens in several years so it's a serious concern to the company, the bank says it's our problem. I talked to a lot of ppl in the bank, including the trustfund departmente Manager and he told me that the guy who made the VBA script no longer work in the IT Dept. To make things worse the module is protected by password (as it should be).

To get things by the bank authorized just this time to send the data via a normal excel spreadshet but i still have to make this thing work by next month.

Ok, so, when i press the buttons it shows me 2 errors:

#1
When i close the document and open it again and click on any of the 3 buttons it says:

Microsoft Forms:
"Impossible to load and object because it is not avaible on this machine"

It says kinda like that...it shows me the error in spanish sorry if i didn't translated it right.

#2
When i click on any the buttons for the second time it shows this error:

Microsoft Visual Basic:
Compilation Error in hidden module: [insert module name here]

I've heard that sometimes this happens when the ppl who made the file have some different plugins and newer versions of VBA and MS office than the ppl who's trying to open it so tested with the same file in 10 workstations with different configurations of MS Office and Windows and it behaves alike with all of them.

I even test the file on PC's With Win XP Pro SP2 and Office 2003 SP2 with all windows and office updates installed, also the PC's have .NET Framework 1.1 and 2.0 with the latest security patches.

I've tried using users domain profiles, domain administrator profile, the local admin. user profile and nothing, i've set the macro security to low and went into the Trust tab under macro security option and selected the two checks in it and nothing.....

But the strange thing is that i went to talk to my supervisor in another assigned client and the file works fine on the comps there (we work for an IT outsourcing firm)

I'm about to throw myself inside one of the carton corrugated machines, this error is driving me insane :(

I NEED SERIOUS H.E.L.P!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :(

Please....

Bill? anyone?

I downloaded a demo dvd of visual studio 2005 and installed it on my computer and suddenly the error was gone, but when i make the same thing on the Human Resources Manager PC that has Win2k & Office 2k it doesn't work.

My PC has Win XP Pro SP2 & Office 2K3 SP2.

Any thoughts?
