Hello everyone... :)
any freewares or retail soft out there that does the job?
Its for a friend of mine who is runnin a cybercafe with lot of systems runnin old 98 on it, some have 2k pro and newer ones have XP pro.
he just want to remove drives from being accessed or even visible to the people.
with 2k and xp its simple but he is not that good at managin stuff by himself, needs some tool to help him out with all OS's
any suggestions?

You can hide drives using tweakui as well.
Partition magic is an excellent program and it has settings that will let you create hidden partitions, I use it all the time for its other features.

thanks G and crossedup....we tried the tweakui thing but the drives can be easily accessed with the drive letters.
I will try with the freeware first.

TweakUI will get most users but if they are looking for the info they can still find it, agreed. For the non technical proficient person, just another partition is an unknown wonder.

That will be the case.
Try my suggestions and go from there but backup and take an image.
TweakUI is still a very handy program but it certainly would not be the solution to hide a volume with sensitive information etc.
