I wish someone would make a nice combat sim like the old Janes series. robbiex 07-27-2006, 09:48 PM Yeah last one i played was FS2000 and got really boared with it i like to be able to crash and damage things! The screens on this thing look really great, just home they add some damage modeling to it. pandaz3 07-28-2006, 12:11 AM You need something from UbiSoft, like this Ultimate flight Collection http://www.ubi.com/US/Games/Info.aspx?pId=4402 robbiex 07-28-2006, 08:19 AM all ready have them, and many more! kingofa 07-30-2006, 09:54 PM what are the requirements for this game? I would imagine it would be quite graphic intensive pandaz3 07-30-2006, 10:17 PM I think it is going to step up the requirements some, I understand Vista will require more too. Hard to say if a video card that supports DirectX 9.0C will do the job or not and if that card will support DirectX 10.0, which I suspect is what the best standard will be. I am sure it will be backward compatible to a point, but likely not a card that supports less Than DirectX 9.0 I am just speculating as I have no harder information other that the link I posted in the first post. I wonder if a Video card BIOS flash would allow DirectX 10.0? kingofa 07-31-2006, 10:46 AM well I just installed Windows Vista beta 2 on my second system (athalon 902Mhz, 512MB, Radeon 9600xt, and it uses 100% of the CPU just opening up the mail program.....so the flight simulator definetly wouldn't run. however my 3Ghz system would probably run it just fine. robbiex 07-31-2006, 01:27 PM Check out these vids if you haven't allready http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-3718645433648038135&q=Flight+Simulator+X http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-3402318532539878612 I’d say it gonna cost a lot more than your average game pandaz3 07-31-2006, 09:45 PM Thanks for the links RobbieX, well I'll pay a little more for a good program. germanNiklas 08-01-2006, 04:52 AM LOOOL i loved the first video with the german woman :D haha had a good laugh when she spoke german with their kids germanNiklas 08-02-2006, 04:35 PM whats the difference between standard and professional version? pandaz3 08-02-2006, 09:30 PM I did not see that in the videos or on the MS page germanNiklas 08-03-2006, 06:00 AM I did not see that in the videos or on the MS page you mean pro and standard version? i couldnt find anything on the off. site, but on ebgames.de there is the standard version for 56 euros and the pro version for 72 euros there has always been a FS pro and standard version but i never knew what the difference is pandaz3 08-03-2006, 08:46 AM OK I recall that now, normally I just see the deluxe version, so those must be pre-order at your game site. Not that the prices for MS software get discounted all that often. germanNiklas 08-03-2006, 10:25 AM i think delux-version and pro are the same, just diff name i guess MJCfromCT 08-03-2006, 10:41 AM Wikipedia says this: Deluxe incorporates some additional features, which are known to include, an on-disk Software Development Kit (SDK), three airplanes with the Garmin G1000 Flight Deck and player Air Traffic Control. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Microsoft_Flight_Simulator_X germanNiklas 08-04-2006, 07:39 PM cool, on fileplanet you can sign up for the closed beta test now i just love my brother :) its his subscriber account but i can use it too germanNiklas 08-09-2006, 06:12 PM http://www.gamespot.com/promos/2006/flightsimulatorx-demo/index.html?tag=flightsimx_csbox_home The Flight Simulator X demo will be available in: 2 hours 47 minutes pandaz3 08-09-2006, 10:13 PM Thanks! pandaz3 11-03-2006, 04:55 AM Well I bought a copy of FS X Deluxe, It is great, but really taxes my system. I have a X2 4400, X850 Pro flashed to XT PE speeds, 2 gig Ram and I'm choking if I try to max the sliders. FS 2004 did not tax my system like this. SysOpt.com
