DoD: mini map problem

The minimap for me has zoomed out. For any other DoD player their mini man shows their position clearly (the marker representing them is big and visible) and shows a little bit of their surroundings and any near-by team mates. For me how ever I get the entire level map displayed in the mini map. I can barley make out where I am and my team mates which makes throwing nades about more difficult.

Any one know how I can "zoom" out? I'll post a screenie if you need one.
