I have Dell Latitude C600 laptop that is protected by a "password authentication system" I do not have the password, and am clueless about getting past it.
Is it even possible to get past this? Is this part of windows, or in the harddrive, or the bios or ??? (It has a Phoenix bios.)

why can't you go back to the source from which you purchased the Laptop for the password?

The password is stored in the BIOS of the laptop.

Do a google search for Dell password as see what shows. There should be dozens of websites with processes to try.

We can not, and will not help you crack the password here.

When I see threads like this, I think stolen laptop. You will get no help here. If you own the laptop legally, then you can contact the former owner.

Even if the laptop is not stolen and he got it thru legal means, we still will not help him crack the passwords. No is, ands, or buts about it!
