I wanna upgrade the sound card on my motherboard from the onboard sound on an Asus A7N8X-E Deluxe to something a little better with EAX support but I dont wanna spend over $100 on just a soundcard because when I upgrade my motherboard to a PCI-E motherboard from AGP it might have a better soundcard then the one I spent $100+ on

So I was looking at either the

- Audigy2 ZS (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16829102178)

or the

- Audigy 4 (http://us.creative.com/products/product.asp?category=1&subcategory=205&product=14103)

because all the X-FI cards are well over $100 and I dont wanna spend that much .. which of these two cards do you guys think would be better for gaming ? both are about the same price

The Audigy 2 ZS has a better software bundle with it. The Audigy 4 only has a few features other than the ZS, and it's not worth it for the price difference.

Go with the Audigy 2 ZS. :t

You can pick up the lower end X-Fi's for the same price as an Audigy 2ZS IIRC these days, might be worth looking into

So far after five years., I'd say the Audigy 2 ZS is still a great sound card. I still use mine and music and game effects are awesome . Of course like with eveything the speakers are equal if not more important. ( a good 5.1 or 7.1 surround sound )

Yeah I'd go with the XFi. That is the popular choice now... if price is minimal.
