Recently I purchased the Yamaha 8424 SCSI recorder , in the hope of buying a very good product, which is, but to my surprise the software bundled with it didnīt have support for it!!!
The only thing I could do was download a beta version of CDRWin, but forget about driver support from Adaptec.
Really not happy ībout it

Contact Adaptec if thats who's software came with the drive as they upgrade users to the latest revision at no charge within the softwares version (such as 3.5c to 3.5d and so forth). If the software that came with the drive doesnt support the drive they have been known to upgrade people to the latest version of software (as long as it is supported within that release for little or nothing or discount it big time.

But as Apostle suggests I would first contact the Drive manufacturer and see what they suggest (there is probably a patch for the software to update it to reconqnize your drive)

Normally you are supposed to contact the hardware vendor. They'll either take care of it, or direct you to someone who can.
