Need help with DirectX 7

no games that use DX will run on my comp. i have Win2000 and it won't let you delete DirectX 7 (not easly at least)most of the drivers are verson 5.00.2180.0001, however there are a few that are 5.00.2134.0001 and the Dxdiagnostic tool says they are older versons and could cause a problem. but they're the drivers that came with the setup?
PLEEEEEEEEEEEEASE HELP?

Well, most of my files start with 4.06, a coup,le with 4.07 and a couple with the older 4.05. They obviously didn't change alot with DirectX 7. However, I'm not sure what you've got with those 5.0 files. That COULD be the problem. Was this version of directX install with Win2k? It might be one of those beta versions anbd that could cause the problems. The 4 and the 5 obviously refer to the Windows version. 4 being Windoiws 95 and 98 and 5 being 2000. 3 would be 3.11, but we're not talking bout that here.
