We're trying a few new things out for the time being, one of those being the layout of the forum interface.
hands up those who like it as it is now... or preferred it the way it was

This IS the way they had it before the upgrade. I like it with the avatars on the side.

Sorry, yeah your right - should clarify that point really.
The "As it is now" is, well, as it is now (and as it also was many moons ago)
The "As it was previously" is as it has been over the past few months

Slow time of the day (2:41 AM here in Blighty) - there have been all of about four posts throughout the whole forum in the last few hours.
Things should pick up hopefully

Blighty? That's a slang I dunno, and I thought i knew em ALL from your neck of the woods. I visit often and have friends strewn all about the place.

"Blighty" - A slang term for England used by English troops serving abroad
Bit of an Archaism these days, what i like to think of as a "fun" word though
(I could probably teach you a few more new phrases too, being from the North-East ;))
Anyways, time for me to call it a day methinks:x

Lordy - Go to bed as usual, wake up & the world has taken a step to the left.
as it is now is good! not so much scrolling between posts & I view full width anyway! add to that if you only type a one line reply - the text doesn't end up almost touching the "Edit" & "Quote" buttons. :)

I frequent so many forums now (biker ones mostly) I don't care any more really, but this is OK.
The sigs could be in smaller type... ;)

I'd like to see sigs limited to one or two lines...they take up too much space and detract from the actual post... :t

I like the layout but i do not like ads occupying about 35% of the horizontal space.
Of course that's the oppinion of a mere mortal that doesn't have a 19" or 21" monitor with a 1280 x 1024, 1600 x 1280 or higher screen resolution.
My two cents.

Personally I liked the old style.. Those right colum ADs a pain in neck. I liked looking at sysopt at the center of my monitor.
This what I end up doing after a while of puting up with it.
