Firefox disapeared.

My firefox, the latest version has disapeared ! Task manager can't see it but Sygate personal firewall sees it as a working application, it appears 3 times as firefox. exe
I updated it and it disappeared, even firefox safe mode does not appear to be visable.
I have uninstalled it, deleted the leftover folder in programs and downloaded the latest version and re-installed it. Still no joy.
Any suggestions ?

I'm using Opera right now and am getting used to it, it just doesn't seem to have the bookmark sidebar which is a pain but it seems to be fairly nice otherwise

be sure to delete/remove your profile folder after you uninstall. You might have a messed up extension.

C:\Documents and Settings\Username\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\xxxxx.default
