dont know where you can download it but if you can not find a download site e-mail me and I zip the thing up and e-mail it back to you http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif you'll have to give me a day to do it though I dont have dsl or cable http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif

you could try the Alt Binary news groups though just make sure you run a virus check on anything you get from there http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif

I guess you are looking for a freebie, but if you are serious about using DOS I would suggest IBM PC-DOS 2000 (a Y2K enhanced version of IBM PC-DOS 7) - retail is $69 ouch!

I am sure you know that DOS isn't necessary to install Windows 9x and higher? But just in case you don't know, you can download a boot disk with CDROM support from www.bootdisk.com (http://www.bootdisk.com) and install directly from the CD.

While everyone is talking about DOS, has anyone dropped by:

www.freedos.org (http://www.freedos.org)

Their project is to create an MS-DOS compatible operating system which is freely disbtributable, and has options MS never included. One guy is actually running his web server using freedos on a 386sx with 4meg of mem! They have already released beta 3, and the next release is not too far off.

Interesting, definitely has possibilities, I'm an old DOS and TP programmer, time to break out the books and refresh the brains. Thanks for the link!
