Actually, Mldia Player Classic (part of the KLits Codec Pack) does a good job with QT rubbish, it just doesn't work as an embeded player in a web page).

I believe that is because the K-Lite Codec Pack installs Quicktime Alternative along with Media Player Classic. The K-Lite Mega Codec Pack is what I use, and it integrates pretty much everything within Firefox, including Apple Quicktime stuff.
