Hooking up Digital Camera

having trouble getting a connection from camera to computer. I am running PII, 400mhz
Win 98, device driver says com2 &com3 ports are working properly, com1 is a modem. Camera is a JVC GR-DVF21 & software is JLIP Video Capture, the software won't recognize the com port2 or 3

com's and they are built in to the board, it
is A-Bit BH-6, so I am still lost, com1 is my modem, & I have a UBS port nex to com

I use adobe photodeluxe w/digicam and it couldnt find my COM ports either, even though ok in device manager. Do you use a serial mouse or PS/2 mouse? The reason I ask is if you use a PS/2 port,then your com ports are probably not in use and probably are jumpered off!Take a look at your mobo at COM1&2 pins. I found out the hard way, my PC didnt have jumpers at all, so no connections!!. Good Luck http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif
