I think you can hit F8 right after the system post and right before the OS starts up, and you'll get a boot menu. Choose "command prompt" and then to run it you'll probably have to type it it's full path, like so: C:\Windows\command\fdisk.exe I assume you know that fdisk alters the very fundemental sectors of the disk. So changing anything with it casues all data to be lost. Not just files either, but format, and partition information too. (Actually you use fdisk itself to manipulate the partition info.) deep_sky 12-04-1999, 10:22 PM do you have a boot disk that is bootable?? if so you should be able to run it from that. does your system get far enough in the boot process to where it starts looking for bootable devices??
