Axel 12-02-1999, 09:39 AM forget PCI or ISA - go external - much easier to reset and you can see from the LED's what it's doing. But if you really must go internal, go for a PCI slot modem. ZOOM & USR are pretty reliable. I also use a Wisecom. I'd avoid the dual modem/sound card combos - too many conflicts. (Modem blaster - only Creative labs item I don't trust) Brian48 12-02-1999, 03:42 PM If you're looking for internals, here's my picks (all are hardware modems): 1st Choice: Actiontek Call Waiting PCI 2nd Choice: USRobotics 56k Fax ISA 3rd Choice: Diamond Super Express ISA Cheap, but still good if you can't afford the above: Creative Labs Modem Blaster ISA alx098 12-02-1999, 06:03 PM Go with USB. I had so many problems with my internal PCI and such unstayable performance, that I had to feed the freaking thing to my lawnmover. Now I have Diamond Express from Diamond Multimedia and everything works just fine www.diamondmm.com (http://www.diamondmm.com) disciple 12-02-1999, 11:22 PM thanks for info this will be very helpful.
