I have PC100 motherboard i.e. M748LMRT slot 1/ Socket 370. I want to install higher capacity HDD i.e. either 80GB or 40GB based on the compatibility with the motherboard. Can anybody let me know what is the maximum HDD capacity supported ? Thanks in advance.

Welcome to SysOpt!

Your first stop would be the manufacturer's site, and this one actually does contain the information you're looking for.

Thanks Peter

The link is quite helpful. But I was wondering whether the model I have i.e. M748LMRT is the same that is available at the web site i.e. M748LT.

Yes it is - the MR in the middle just means "modem ready". This suffix was later dropped, but it's still the same thing.
