Posted a message last week about my modem, to be specific the fact that it kept on disconnecting. Had lots of very helpful suggestions but none seemed to clear my problem.

Since then I've noticed that the disconnection only occurs when I use the scroll function of my mouse or keyboard, or in fact even if I drag the scroll bar too fast. I have a Logitech Mouseman+ set on Com 3 showing that there are no conflicts.

Has anyone any ideas on this one 'cos it's still driving me nuts.

You might try turning down the Hardware Acceleration in Device Manager->Preformance->Graphics.

Also, try a different mouse to rule out any shorts with current one.
