Hi people,I have been runnig a 64 mb stick of micro 8e cas 2 (4x16) and just bought more ram this stick is siemens 64 mb 8 c,(8x8) single sided module. I thought the siemens might be cas 3, so I set my memory to cas 3 in my bios,it seems my machine has slowed down so i reset it to cas 2. All seems o.k. but still seems sluggish. can i damage the new stick runnig at cas 2? my specs:
Abit BX6-R2
p-3 450
viper v550 AGP
and the two sticks of different memory
sorry for the long post. Jim.

Running the memory at CAS 2 won't hurt it, but it may lead to stability issues. If you aren't suffering crashes or random errors, you should be ok.

I'm refering to the fact that the unknown stick might actually be cas 3, but may run at cas 2 if no problems seem to exist.
