2 pc xp network

Hi, i'm gonna connect 2 xp pcs together and share an internet connection from a cable modem. i also want to be able to copy files between the 2 pcs.

Could anyone tell me if its suitable please?

Yap, that would do it.

I am not familiar with the UK prices, but if you were in the US I would tell you buy a Wireless Cable/DSL Router. They cost about the same and they provide more flexibility.

As for Sharing.

As well as specific adjustment of each computer according to what is allowed to be shared.
