I have 4 comps networked.
All 4 are in the same Workgroup.
All 4 have unique computer names.
All 4 have file & printer sharing turned on.
All 4 show up on my Vonage router.
All 4 can access the internet no problem.
All 4 have Windows firewall turned OFF (but protected by a software firewall).

BUT...

One of the machines cannot see the other three on the network; the other three cannot see the one. It's as if the one is not on the network at all. But then why can it get online? I'm stumped. I've done a lot of troubleshooting, rebooting, and putting forehead-shaped dents in my desk. Now I'm putting the burden on you. :D Any ideas?

did you look at this thread?
Best of Networking (http://www.sysopt.com/forum/showthread.php?t=162273)

if you are not using simple file sharing, then you need to add the same usernames and passwords to each system.

it would help to know what OSes you are running.

disable the software firewall until you get things up and running.

Turn off your Firewall and see if the machines show up.

I hope you didn't run the Network Wizard. ;)

If so then go into My Network Places and remove any Network Bridges on all the machines.

Successful Sharing involves some general consideration in Network settings, http://www.ezlan.net/sharing.html

As well as specific adjustment of each computer according to what is allowed to be shared.
