Hi

I am looking for a driver for a Dell Trinitron D1626HT monitor. The monitor is attached to a Dell Inspiron 6400, WIN XP Pro SP2 (all updates) laptop.

The screen resolution is at 1600x1200 and a refresh rate of 75 Hz. The fonts are small at this setup, and if I find a driver, then this monitor can do better as it was previously connected to a Dell system and the display was very good.

I just cann't find the driver at the Dell site or via Googling.

Thanks!

I looked too and couldn't find it.

The best thing to do is ask on the Dell forums about the driver or contact Tech support via email.

There is already a message asking for a driver for this monitor at Dell's forum. The message was posted 02-09-2006. It has almost 800 views but no reply. :(

I would email tech support then and see if they can help you with the driver.

You could send a message to one of their Mods, they are Dell employees.

you don;t need drivers for monitor

using "Plug n Play monitor" is more than good enough for any monitor / LCD

and you are not losing anything

in fact, many times i've noticed using the actual "drivers" for the specific monitor / LCD

actually makes the picture Alignment go out of the screen, or too small or too big, etc.. (i'm talking about a few mm off, not a lot off) meanwhile using PnP drivers from windows, it fits perfectly without adjustments.

This is the only place I could find the monitor driver at. You have to register though. Its a free registration.
