I am looking at the XFX 7900GT Extreme and I am wondering ois it a good buy at $289 or should i save up for the 7900 GTX?
Please let me know cus i want to order the card tonight if it is up to par.
I'm a gamer and not so knowledgable on the technical specs i just know how to build em.
also which card would be better this one 7900 GT (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814150149)
or 7900 GT Extreme (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?item=N82E16814150139)

The 7900GT basically the same as a 7900GTX but with lower clock speeds and a smaller heatsink.
The 7900GT Extreme is merely an overclocked 7900GT, but it's guaranteed to run at the higher clocks. You gotta figure that XFX hand picked the cores because they knew they would run at 520. All the ones that failed go into the regular bunch. The Non-Extremes may not be able to OC to 520 because the ones that can are sold as Extremes.
You can get the $289 one unless you want a VIVO card.

vivo is for regular tvs. it uses svideo cables.
it depends on what cpu you have, but you'll probably see a pretty big difference.
