Ok guys I don't live with my little bro, and he has an older computer. He plays CS:S and Warcraft:WOW. He's been saving up money for the past two months, and finally has $80 to spend on a video card. I know it doesn't sound like much to us older guys, but it's taken him a while and a lot of hard work.

To get the most for his $80, I've narrowed it down to 3 cards from NewEgg, and TigerDirect. After each link, I'll post the differences of each card that i've found looking at ALL the specs about 50 times ;) Here they are:

1) XFX GeForce 6200 / 512MB DDR / AGP 8x

http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=2070201&Tab=2&NoMapp=0

512MB DDR---64 bit gddr2 memory type---350mhz core clock---400mhz memory clock

2) Asus GeForce 6600 LE / 128MB DDR / AGP 8x

http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=1905487&CatId=0

128MB DDR---128 bit ddr memory type---300mhz core clock---500mhz memory clock

3) eVGA Geforce 6600LE 256MB 128-bit DDR AGP 4X/8X

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814130262

256MB DDR---128 bit ddr memory type---300mhz core clock---400mhz memory clock

Ok those are the three most powerful cards I found in the $80 area... After looking through ALL the specs, those are the differences above ;o) I just want to really help him get the most for his money when he makes this purchase.

The 6200 has 512MB DDR - by far the most, but it says 64 bit memory type - both of the 6600s have 128 bit memory type?

The 6200 also lacks some key features, if you check out the links...?

The 256mb 6600 has more memory, but lower memory clock?

THANKS SO MUCH :) Let me know what you think, he's ordering tomorrow morning, and I don't want to see him spend the money on junk ;)

The second one gets my vote. I would go with the second choice.

LE stands for Lame Edition, really. Kick in the extra few bucks and get him a 6600GT.

Thanks alot for the info. The 6600GT is about double the price - $145 min.

If I had the means to help him out I would. I'm a student in college, and don't have a dime to my name :(

Any other suggestions?

Here's another option, a 6600 "Vanilla". It retains the 8 pipes and the price is right.

The N6600 you reccomended is out of stock on NewEggs site, and other retailers charge more for it than $92... :(

Will the 6600LE handle CS:S and WoW pretty well? Or is he going to be dissapointed?

He also has a Celeron processor, does this matter?

He's currently running a 64MB card, not sure what the specs are like but I know its nothing fancy...
