avi to vcd/svcd

does anyone know a good free program that can convert .avi to vcd format? But not one that takes 7 hours to do so..

I spent a lot of time looking for just such a program and eventually gave up 29.95 for WinAVI. It's very fast.

Cucu Soft make some okay stuff, but you gotta pay (unless you P2P).
They're pretty quick too.

I use Power Director by Cyberlink (they make Power DVD) myself and it works a treat.
