Wondering if there are any programs out there that allow VideoCDs (VCDs) to be played on the computer. I know it's possible because I've done it with my P133 Aptiva, but can't do it now with my AMD350 system. Windows Media Player doesn't recognize the file type *.vcd

Can someone enlighten me on this? DVDs are not playable on the computer correct?

yes you could play a vcd disc into any computer... doesn't matter if it's an aptiva or a k6-2 350... as long as you have a vcd software and i'm sure jet audio has it... just search for it on the internet, or i could probably find it for you.. but for your question whether your computer can play a vcd movie, yes it can... u just need a vcd software..

THanks for the info. So is there any free VCD software out there? I think my Aptiva was bundled with it, so I need to do some manual labor on this machine /forum/wink.gif My search efforts have come up on the empty side. Thanks for any help!
