i had an amd athlon xp 2000+ system and an asus a7s266 mobo.now the mobo went dead and i gave it to my dealer who replaced it with a 7vm400m-rz gigabyte mobo.now when i boot i get only 1.25ghz speed compared to the 1.67ghz i got earlier.also when i checked using programs like cpuid it showed amd athlon 1600+.so i went to the bios and increased the system bus which was at 100 to 120.then i got speeds like 1.5ghz and cpuid showed it as amd athlon xp 1800+.when i tried to increase the bus to 132ghz the system wont boot and the value was automatically reset.is it possible that the processor is replaced by the dealer?i have a 266mhz ram while the mobo supports 333.is it the cause.please help.
i dont want to take out the processor to look at the opn.
