Anyone ever have the ISA buss mess up on a new motherboard? I tried to install a Creative Labs Modem Blaster on my new computer and it locks up so bad that I must un-plug the computer from the wall. The motherboard is a Asus P5-99VM. Evberything else went great, and the puter runs great until I try to stick in that dang modem. Thanks!
I'd start by booting into safe mode and checking for IRQ conflicts in settings/control panel/system/my computer/properties, or simply checking out device manager for conflicts.
Then I'd check the ASUS site for a new bus driver for that board.
Then I'd check the creative labs site for a new driver there.

The computer locks-up as soon as I hit the power button. No post, no beep codes, no nothing. Can't turn it off using the power button, gotta un-plug the darn thing. Remove the modem and all is well. Maybe I should go PCI?
