Go dual core unless you only need speed. Having dual's is the best thing next to sliced bread. I can play HL2 and encode a video at the same time with my dually. But I do have the X2 3800 AMD. Not an Intel fan, at least not yet.

the 805 would make mose sense just looking at clockspeed, but it's a 533fsb versus a 800fsb. why don't you look at other cpus? are they the same price for you or something?
