I've got 2 domain controllers running 2000 server and several XP Pro clients. DNS and DHCP are all up and working.
When I open the Active Directory Users and Computer console on one of the servers and go into Computers, right click on one of the clients then click manage, I can get into all the different functions except when I click on any of the items under System Information. For example if I click on System Summary, I get the following error...
"The connection to [remote name] could not be established. Check to see that the network path name is correct, that you have sufficient permission to access Windows Management Instrumentation, and that the Windows Management Instrumentation service is started on the computer."
If I go to the Domain Controllers section and manage the other server, it works correctly and I can see it's system info.
On one of the clients I've completely turned off the Windows firewall and gone through checking that the two WMI services are running, created a local user with admin rights with the same name and password that I'm using on the server. From the server, under the clients Manage/Services I can right click on the WMI Control and go into Properties where it tells me I'm connected as the <currently logged on user>.
Ant ideas why I can't get into the client's System Properties?
