I just bought a Ricoh MediaMaster 7060S (6X/4X/24X) SCSI CD-RW Drive and wanted to buy a SCSI Card. I was wondering if it's possible for me to run my CDRW at a 40mb/sec transfer rate? If so, which card will let me do that and how do i set it (in bios setup?)? I'm hoping not to spend more than 100 dollars on a SCSI Card. Please help...Thanks, appreciate your time and input.

Going into SCSI and wanting that speed, but on a budget of less than $100 - you're not in the correct ball-park of expectations....
You might find a used high end card for less than $100 if you get really lucky, but I doubt it.
If you are going to be doing a lot of high speed CD duplication, then you're looking at the wrong hardware anyway. And you won't find it for less than $100. ;( sorry....

Closer to $300 for a good card; and I really do not think it will speed up your write time any more than the "(6X/4X/24X) SCSI CD-RW" can write on a lower SCSI standard. Still I would get the best card you can afford and then upgrade your disk drives when you can - if you are going to fork out the $$$ then you might as well be set for the future.

1X on a CD is 150Kb. 10X is 1.5 Meg, and so on. Regardless of what SCSI card you get the burner you have will only burn at the specified speed and read at the specified read speed.
