I bought Webroots SpySweeper spyware software earlier this year. I run the application once a day. It usually doesn't pick up anything. When it does, it picks up maybe 2-3 items. However, when I run Spybot either before or afterwards. Spybot picks up usually 5-8 different spyware still in my system. usually stuff like from "Advertising.com", "Avenue A inc". "Doubleclick" or "Hitbox". etc..... Why is it that Spybot can detect these spyware and SpySweeper can't? I sometimes run Adware's SE version and they too can't or doesn't detect these spyware. Is Spybot that much better then these two or is there a better explanation? Thanks. :t

No one app is perfect. I run 3-5 different ones to keep my systems clean.

Those are cookies - not malware. You can set SpySweeper to detect those too, but it's a waste of time.

By the same token, you can set Spybot to ignore cookies. Recommended.
