My friend and I both live in the same apartment complex (completely coincidential, it was pretty funny how it happened, but that's another story) and my laptop gets a usable signal off my network at his place. Now, his budget is pretty tight and he can't get a wireless card for his desktop, but he really wants to take his computer online.

I was wondering if it was possible to hook up my laptop to his desktop via crossover LAN cable, and have my his desktop get online through my laptop's wireless connection. I don't mind if he uses my connection, and this is something temporary(few hours at the most). Is ICS the right way of going about this? Having my laptop's internet connection be the wireless card and sharing it through the network (the 2 pcs hooked up together)? Thanks.

My machine is running XPSP2, his machine is running XP but I don't think he has ever installed any service packs on it.
