Can I do this.....

I want to run both wired and wireless from the same router. What I'm thinking is this....

cable from outside to cable modem then to the wired router, from there run a cable from a spare open port on the wired router to a wireless router.

Is this possible? WHY? I don't like wireless access personally, but I keep finding I need wireless access on notebooks I work on for customers.

Thanks

That is exactlry how my ethernet is set up.

I have 3 wired ports on my router that I used and my wireless router takes care of the rest of the PCs.

you would need to disable dhcp on the wireless router, but it is possible. go to cat5e's site for more info
