Found this a couple of weeks ago. It's really neat! Has lots of immunizations and scans real good, plus has some anti-hijack features. :D

Advanced Spyware Remover used to be on "Rogue/Suspect" list. I'll pass.

Note from that site: Note on Advanced Spyware Remover: Advanced Spyware Remover was listed on this page because of concerns with false positives. Testing with the latest version of Advanced Spyware Remover indicates that the problems with earlier versions have been satisfactorily resolved. Thus, we can no longer consider Advanced Spyware Remover to be "rogue/suspect" anti-spyware.
Seems ok to me no?

I said USED TO BE. just because it is "ok" now, doesn't mean it is effective.

Yeah but I thought something as minute as false positives wouldn't give that much of a reason to not try the new version. I dloaded it and have been running it for a few weeks and it really seems ok.
On that top ten reviews you're comparing programs that you need to buy to a free program. Of course the ones you have to buy will be more effective. :x IMO this is a good free anti-spyware proggy... Of course, I haven't had the opportunity to test its effectiveness on a big infection, and I hope I won't need to lolol.
I'm not trying to make you use it if you don't want to lol, I simply wanted to show some other ppl what I find to be a useful free program and maybe they'll like it too. Though it's good to know about it's history as you pointed out, they say there's no more problems with false positives any more so I myself am not worried. Might not be the best, but no one program can do it all, as I've seen before. This proggy even finds trojans too. :D

Chief,
M$ Defender: free....beta 2....btw, it still hasn't picked up any of the suspects that
Ad-Aware SE: free
picks up.
Spy-Bot: Free
Hijack-this: Free
Norton Internet Security: paid for it year after year, still had to run spy-bot and Ad-Aware to pick off the items NIS overlooked.
...IMO...which everyone has :D
