Whenever I connect to the internet at home through DUN (1.3) my Ie window maximises and shrinks 5 or 6 times until it has settled down, then it's fine. Also if you put a cd in one of the drives same thing happens to the explorer.

Any suggestions

which operating system version are you using and what type of PC and video adapter are you using.

Sounds like a system conflict, but there isn't enough in your note to take it much further.

Sorry Axel, K62300, Pcchip m577, 128mb, Mystique G200 8Mb, Diamond modem, 95 Osr 2, Loads of **** on the HD.

Don't really want to reformat HD and start again, but it is a small option. Oh yeah IE5.

Is this enough

have you opened control panel / system / device manager and seen if there are any conflicts there? -

Have you checked the web page of your video adapter to see if it has any known conflicts with IE5.0? I'd also see if there are any new drivers our there for your video card. They don't always tell you there's a conflict - but they will put out new drivers to keep the natives happy /forum/smile.gif

Another thing you might try is going back a step and getting IE 4.01 SP2 off www.microsoft.com/IE (http://www.microsoft.com/IE) - I've had much more success with that version than I've had with IE5 - I've uninstalled IE5 twice - had bad problems both times.

Lastly, just for grins, update your anti-v definitions and do a sweep. Last norton update I have was on 11/12/99 off the symantec web page - click on the support tab and anti-v updates drop down as one of the menu items.
