I got bug of some type i belive..I have full install of Nortons Anti Virus 2005, and i run Windows XP professional. Here is what happens..

On first boot, everything loads, drivers and so forth...then nortons has a pop-up bottom right screen stating its creating

"Rules for Microsoft Printer Spooler Service" with an "OK" button.

I click "OK" and it does this like 10+ times..over and over again. Kind of annoying realy, printer works fine,i have all the updates from Windows Update and Nortons Anti virus.

I have thoughly searched Nortons main website for any threads on this, and Microsoft windows update..i cannot seem to find anyone experiencing this problem so i am comming to yu people to ask your advice, any input greatly appreciated thanx.

Usually, there's a tick box where you tell NAV not to ask again. Look before you click.

You can also disable the worm protection module in NAV options. I prefer Windows Firewall myself.

Hmm..i was looking for that as well, it comes up lower right screen just over the RTC region. The only option it has is an "OK" button, if i click ok it goes back down then up again.. if i leave it it just will pop up and down over and aver as if i clicked it heh.
Just annoying and only on a fresh boot, switching users it does not do that.
(i share 3 accounts with my daughters on one computer)

You might have to look in options, to disable that pop-up.
Good Luck :)

Accualy i found a fix, i removed file/printer sharing in my network options and that fixed it. I am running my new set up and forgot to remove unessisary protocols..thank you for your input though.
BTW there is no options in NAV 2005 to turn that off unless i remove the firewall completely. But i found a fix regardless.

I beg to differ. I had NAV 2005 and I opened one of the options was to disable Internet Worm Protection. In my case, I opened Systemworks > Options > Norton Antivirus.
