ICS Troubles

I'm trying to set up internet connection sharing, and seem to be having a bit of trouble. When it asks what connection to the internet to use, it doesn't list any available. I am on a cable modem, and the connections don't show up as an option. Anyone have any ideas?

if you cable modem uses a standard modem connection for upstream transfers ICS will not work...The how to that I read didn't go into detail, but it said the above...

Well as for the cable modems I have set up for my brother and sister (sheeze and I live were we dont have cable!) I had to set it to LAN connection. as their connections are two way...

It does ask for Lan connection, but it also asks for the internet connection. I'm digging around on the MS knowledge base, but so far no luck.
